In May of 2009, Janey, Michael Sembello, and Bruce Gaitsch formed a group called The Bossa Nova Hotel and released the album “Moon Island,” with EMI-Japan. A woman of many talents, Janey not only played keyboards and sang on every song, but she also arranged, recorded, and mixed the entire album herself. “Moon Island” won Best-Engineered Pop CD in Japan in December of 2009. In 2012, the Bossa Nova Hotel’s cover of “A Day In The Life Of A Fool” became the theme song for the popular Japanese TV show “LIFE,” and is still running today. In 2016 the Bossa Nova Hotel released their stunning version of Fragile as a balm for the troubled times we live in.

Janey’s songs debuted in the U.S. at Carnegie Hall in New York City, December 27th, 2013, to a sold-out audience.
